Our client is looking for an Import/Export Officer for their Medan site.

Import Export Officer - MEDAN
Medan (Sumatera Utara)

Responsibilities:

The role exists to support the International Trade Operations (ITO) through implementing ITO specific operational objectives, goals and projects and drive continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency.
Supply continues to grow at high speed in Medan manufacturing site with huge amount of import/export activities in the country. The Import/Export Specialist needs to provide operational expertise and support businesses to manage effective operation in import/export activities and ensure full compliance to customs regulatory requirements.
Act as focal point in handling day to day import/export operations issues in relation to Medan manufacturing site export and import activities
Interface and manage ITO 3rd party/Lead logistics service providers within the country
Ensure I/E operations and trading activities within the geography are in full compliance with country Customs regulation and policies
Troubleshooting on Customs & Trade issue. Establish streamlined communication channel with respective governmental authorities, e.g. Customs house, CIQ, etc.
Take lead of ITO projects and C&T projects to achieve cost effectiveness and stabilize operation performance in import & export operations
Conduct regular performance review meetings with 3PL within the geography to ensure service performance satisfies business request through quantified service KPI.
Responsible for measuring ITO defined service standards and ensure the performance data is tracked and reported timely and accurately within the geography operations efficiency.
Will be primarily involved in handling I/E operational exceptions and troubleshooting to commit on-time-delivery and communication responsiveness.

Requirements:

• University graduate is required
• Minimum of 3-4 years hands-on experience in export/import operations
• Customs & Trade experience is a plus
• Certification in the area of International trade would be additional advantageous
